We have been providing independent water infrastructure solutions to both domestic and commercial developments since we were granted our WIRS in 2006. PDI were the first UIP with this accreditation and our team has a wealth of knowledge on how to work with the local water authorities to deliver a smooth self-lay package.
Let us help
Many developers aren’t aware that you have an alternative solution to using the local water authority to deliver potable water to new commercial or residential builds. PDI Utilities are that solution. We are a Lloyd’s registered self-lay organisation. This means that we can work with any host water network across the UK to deliver water to your development.
The way in which it works is simple; you approach the host network for a quotation, they complete the non-contestable element of the works and PDI offer you a competitive solution for the contestable element of the works. Working in this way is highly beneficial if you have long stretches of mains to be laid or multiple on-site connections. We will install all utilities within a single trench, where possible. Therefore minimising excavation costs and inconvenience to the site. It can also mean fewer road opening notices which means it is easier to deal with your local council and plan your own section 278 works.
